Which Armco barrier system is right for my project?

Choose a bolt-down Armco barrier kit when the barrier is being fixed to an existing suitable concrete surface. Choose a dig-in Armco barrier kit for a permanent installation directly into the ground. The right system depends on the surface, required barrier length, vehicle movements and the areas you need to protect.

What is the difference between bolt-down and dig-in Armco barrier posts?

Bolt-down posts are designed to be fixed directly onto concrete surfaces, making them suitable for warehouses, loading bays, car parks and service yards. Dig-in posts are installed into the ground and are suitable for permanent barrier runs around industrial estates, external yards and vehicle routes. Both Z-post and RSJ-post options are available.

Do complete Armco barrier kits include beams, posts and fixings?

Yes. Complete Armco barrier kits include the main components needed to build a barrier run, including corrugated steel beams, posts and fixing components. Check the individual kit description to confirm the selected beam length, post type, finish and installation method.

What beam lengths are available for Armco barriers?

Armco barrier beams are available in 1.6m and 3.2m effective lengths. Use the shorter length where your layout has tighter spaces or more frequent changes in direction, and the longer length for straightforward barrier runs. Include the total run length, corners and ends when requesting a quote.

How do I create corners and safe ends in an Armco barrier run?

Use internal or external Armco barrier corners to continue a barrier safely around 90-degree changes in direction. Use fishtail ends to create a safer, more professional finish at the start or end of a barrier run by reducing exposed beam edges.

Are Armco barriers suitable for warehouses and car parks?

Yes. Armco barriers are widely used in warehouses, loading bays, car parks, industrial estates, commercial yards and service areas. They help separate vehicle routes from pedestrians, buildings, racking, machinery and other vulnerable site infrastructure.
