SR1 (A1) 868 mesh fencing is designed for projects that require a defined level of resistance to forced entry. The system complies with LPS 1175 SR1 (A1) Issue 8 and is manufactured for use as a strong, visible perimeter barrier.

The 868 construction uses two 8mm horizontal wires positioned around a single 6mm vertical wire. These wires are welded at each intersection to create a rigid panel. A continuous steel clamp bar and security fixings connect the mesh to the posts, helping to resist tampering while producing a neat, consistent finish.

This combination makes the system suitable for security-conscious sites that need strength, visibility and a less visually imposing alternative to solid barriers.

Tamper-resistant fixing system

Panels are secured to posts with a continuous 40 × 5 mm steel clamp bar and tamper-resistant M8 fixings, including stainless-steel cup-square bolts, shear nuts and washers as specified.

Durable protective finish

Panels and posts are pre-galvanised or galvanised as specified and finished with polyester powder coating to the relevant standards. The standard colours are RAL 6005 Moss Green and RAL 9005 Black.

Choice of heights and post arrangements

Nominal fence heights range from 1800 to 3000 mm, with post sections and lengths selected to suit the height and installation method.
